Class Description
In a safe environment, kids will be able to release energy while enhancing their concentration, focus and encouraging imagination. Kids will discover all about animals, nature, and positive character traits through the use of yoga poses, games, storytelling, music, and crafts.
Class descriptions:
4-5 year olds - 45 minutes
A fun and creative class designed to stimulate a young child’s curiosity and energy, through the use of magical adventures, music and imaginative relaxation. Roar like a lion, stretch like a dog, stand tall like a mountain, and grow into a tree while learning about compassion, patience and many more positive traits. Young children benefit from increases in self-esteem, body awareness, flexibility and coordination while role playing in this imaginative program.
6-8 year olds - 45 minutes
A fun and interactive yoga class, taught at a beginner level. A fun filled class of cooperative games,animated poses in magical adventures, music, breathing, and relaxation. While learning about compassion, patience and many more positive traits. It will encourage children’s self expression, strength, coordination, and focus. All levels welcome.
6-8 year olds - Skip and Yoga -1 hour
This class is the same as the class listed above with the addition of 15 min. of various skipping techniques taught. If older ages wish to join this class they are welcome.
9-12 year olds – 45 minutes
School is finished and you are wondering what to do. How about a yoga class with your friends and other teens from the community? A fun and interactive yoga class, all levels welcome. Learn how breathing will increase your flexibility and calm your mind. A class to foster the maturing independence of the pre teen, with more challenging poses and sequences. Encourage self control, confidence, and awareness.
13 - 17 Year Olds – 1 hour
Join your peers in this vinyasa (flow) style yoga class. Teens will benefit from this adult structured yoga class with teens their own age, by developing self confidence; find your inner and outer strength, and flexibility, along with calming techniques. Are you in dance, gymnastics, or any other sport where you would like to learn to calm your nerves before the competition? Then teen yoga will also work for you!
Family Yoga
This is a class for families who want to incorporate family time into their weekends while enjoying a structured yoga class. Be ready to stretch, flex, bond, and play with your family members. Parents and kids aged 4 and up.
